Nick's recruitment career started in 2014 in Birmingham, England, after graduating with a degree in Business Management. He quickly found success within the manufacturing industry and carved out a niche working with OEM transformer and relay companies. This unique blend of technical engineering expertise and his recruitment credentials allowed his career to progress quickly. He moved to Melbourne, Australia, where he set up a power-focused manufacturing division for the leading recruiting company in Australia, Hays.
After working in Australia for three years, Nick was ready for a new challenge. He set his sights on pursuing a move to California, U.S, and wanted to follow the sun and his passion for renewable energy and sustainable energy solutions. Nick then set up the Transmission & Distribution arm of GQR's growing energy and engineering division in the United States. He was responsible for the overall growth of the team and led business development efforts.
Nick is expertly positioned to connect with the leaders in the power delivery industry with businesses in need of top-tier talent. He has helped companies grow by excelling in the recruitment of the niche talent required to design, engineer, and construct an array of power delivery projects from conception to completion.
Nick works with some of the biggest names in the industry and has a reputation for sourcing the “needle-in-a-haystack” candidates many clients require. Nick has a passion for renewable energy and is consistently seeking and learning about the cleanest and most sustainable ways to generate electricity and prevent the release of toxic pollution and global warming emissions. His passion for the renewable industry has enabled him to relocate to California and build a fantastic network of like-minded professionals within the power industry.
Outside of work, Nick is a huge soccer fan and a devoted Newcastle United supporter. On the weekends, he coaches an under fifteens soccer team and loves traveling to various locations in California to compete against the state's best talent.
