They are looking for a Business Development Director to join their team in Philadelphia, where you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding their presence in the electric utility sector.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company objectives and revenue targets within the electric utility industry.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and relationship-building with utility executives, decision-makers, and stakeholders.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, client needs, and competitive landscape within the electric utility sector.
- Lead the development and presentation of proposals, pitches, and presentations to prospective clients, showcasing our firm's expertise, capabilities, and value proposition.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including consultants, project managers, and subject matter experts, to develop tailored solutions and proposals that meet client needs and address industry challenges.
- Manage the end-to-end sales process, from initial contact through contract negotiation and close, ensuring a seamless transition to project delivery teams.
- Maintain and nurture ongoing relationships with existing clients, serving as a trusted advisor and seeking opportunities for additional engagements and upselling of services.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, events, and networking forums to raise awareness of our brand, build relationships, and generate leads.
- Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies impacting the electric utility sector, and leverage insights to inform business development strategies.
- Provide regular reporting and updates on sales pipeline, client interactions, and business development activities to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of success in driving business growth, achieving sales targets, and cultivating relationships with utility clients and stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of the electric utility industry, including market dynamics, regulatory environment, grid modernization, and digital transformation.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or consulting roles within the electric utility industry.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and solutions to diverse audiences.
