We are looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer to join a global engineering consulting team on a remote working basis. If you’re passionate about renewable energy and have expertise in electrical design, this opportunity could be the perfect fit for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation, review, and management of technical documentation for utility-scale Solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects, covering conceptual design, detailed design, specifications, and studies.
  • Oversee project execution from design to construction, including responding to RFIs, reviewing equipment submittals, and coordinating meetings.
  • Provide owners’ engineering support throughout the project lifecycle, from development through to commissioning.
  • Deliver detailed and accurate technical reports, correspondence, calculations, and drawings.
  • Plan, organize, estimate, schedule, coordinate, and monitor work activities alongside multi-discipline project teams.
  • Review peers' designs to ensure compliance with project scope and QA/QC requirements.
  • Ensure design activities adhere to relevant codes, standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers within the department, fostering their professional growth.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal solar engineering standards, tools, and work processes.
  • Offer technical support to identify, analyze, and resolve project-related issues.
  • Assist with business development, strategic planning, and training initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience in electrical engineering within the renewable energy sector, with a focus on utility-scale solar or renewable projects
  • Extensive electrical engineering knowledge, with at least 10 years of professional experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
  • Proficiency in electrical engineering design software.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated work ethic, accountability, and pride in delivering high-quality results.
