We are partnering with a well-established, multi-disciplinary engineering firm. They are looking for an Engineering Director with a focus on Power Delivery to lead their substation, transmission, and distribution teams while building and maintaining strong client relationships within the utility industry.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the Power Delivery team:
- Providing strategic direction, identifying growth opportunities, and aligning efforts with company leadership.
Team development:
- Building and mentoring a strong team of engineers, project managers, and leaders within various Power Delivery disciplines.
Client relationship management:
- Cultivating and maintaining strong client relationships by consistently delivering high-quality projects.
Project execution
- Overseeing project design packages, ensuring compliance with client standards, and serving as the Engineer of Record in relevant areas.
Business development:
- Regularly preparing proposals, scopes, estimates, and feasibility studies to secure new projects.
Required qualifications:
- ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- PE license (preferred)
- Minimum 20 years of Power Delivery engineering experience
- Comprehensive technical knowledge across all Power Delivery disciplines
- Proven leadership skills in managing engineering teams
- Expertise in industry codes and standards (ANSI, IEEE, IEC, NESC, RUS, NEC)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency with project management tools
