We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Substation Engineering & Design Director to lead our team of engineers and designers in the development of substation projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the design, planning, and construction of substations for electric utilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to a team of engineers and designers in the development of substation projects.
- Manage all aspects of substation projects, including project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Ensure that all designs meet safety and regulatory requirements and are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and other team members to understand project requirements and ensure that designs meet all project objectives.
- Stay up to date with industry standards, trends, and regulations related to substation projects and ensure that designs meet current best practices
- Track project progress, identify and resolve any issues that arise, and report to senior management on project status and progress.
- Represent the company in meetings and discussions with clients, stakeholders, and other industry professionals
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in substation engineering and design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to substation projects
- P.E license is strongly preferred
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong understanding of power system design, p&c,and physical substation design.
